The love and passion for light determine the corporate culture and the emotion and aesthetics of the products made by the medium-sized company with its registered office in Hennef. A special feature of the unmistakeable luminaires "Made in Germany“ is the homogenous blend of design und functionality, while considering the highest quality requirements on material selection and workmanship.

OLIGO luminaires nit only represent high quality light sources, but also underline the effect of the respective interior design and pleasantly increase living quality.

In order to fulfil this guiding principle, the company aligns its activities to the wishes of its customers. The order-specific, individual combination of modular product elements plays a decisive role in their realisation. The manufacture of special luminaires for unique lighting solutions and a professional – and above all requirement-oriented – light planning are part of the services typical of OLIGO.

The corporate philosophy "feel the light“ is reflected in the unique design of all products as the symbiosis of functional practicality, timeless form language and a love of detail. In line with this philosophy the company, with its founder Ralf Keferstein, has become an important luminaire manufacturer since 1987 with worldwide distribution channels, and has assumed a leading role on the market in the segment of sophisticated system technology. In the course of the change of ownership in November 2008, Karlheinz P. Breither took over the management of OLIGO Lichttechnik GmbH and now contributes further to the success story of OLIGO.

Not only the economic success, but also the numerous nationally and internationally recognised awards (iF-Design Award, Red Dot Award, Product Design Award of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia) and nominations (Federal Award for Product Design, Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany) are proof of the high quality and design of each individual product and of the orientation to customer requirements.

The company sees its future obligation in the increase of quality for customers and employees alike, in the development of innovations and the well-considered and efficient use of resources. The current and future developments are targeted to turn this basic idea into trend-setting and innovative luminaires with new solutions for design, energy efficiency, engineering and materials.
